I forgot how much fun this game is.

Hadn't played this in months but loaded up today and had a couple of constructed matches.

Forgot how much fun it can be and how much you need to think 3 or 4 plays ahead.

I hope they follow the ideology with what Valve is known for.... Making a competitive game with all the competitive assets.... FREE.

This move would blow the competition and change the digital card game standard to being cash grabs. Imagine having a full collection where the money you spend is on cosmetics and whatever else that does not effect the competitive side of limited deck building.

I guess we are on par with Dota in toxicity at least

Long rant incoming. So I started up some Artifact again after a couple months hiatus, and played some prized Phantom Draft since that's my favorite mode. Heck, I even won a pack the first round, though it was already very challenging as I constantly got 110+ level opponents whilst I am barely 10.

But on the subsequent runs I was constantly stomped 1-3 or 0-3, and to top it off, got some smirky elitist comments like "Why do you play? Go back to standard play" and "nice misplay noob" and stuff like that, which kinda ruined the experience.

This game already has few players, but if the playerbase is a group of toxic elitists with lvl120 and confused lvl10 returnees like me, then I'm afraid it won't get any more in the long run either. :(

    What is your in-game level?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 11:13 AM PDT

With the weekly bonus for 3 wins, one gets 3 levels every 2 weeks (after reaching level 11). I am surprised that people have reached level 200, less than a year after the game was released. So, I am curious now. What is your in-game level? Do you try to aim for level 200 for the Axe avatar? Or what is your motivation for levelling up with the post-match xp?
