Artifact - What I would really ask the devs is, please take risks! Try stuff even if it's crazy stuff, it's a beta, it's for that. |
Posted: 12 Sep 2020 08:34 AM PDT Maybe is becouse of the pandemic, but when they were announcing the beta I was expecting seeing the devs throw diferent ideas on mechanics, cards, or eveen how the game works in general, and gather feedback about what might be good for the game or what not. But since it started the game basicly functions the same with one patch there or here to change one card... Experiment with new mana system, experiment with diferent ways on how to resolve the combat, experiment on diferent ways to use the shop or gold. Just experiment in general, be crazy even. All that we are in the beta, think we agree that we want the best game possible, regardless of opinions (either if you like A1 or A2) and I don't see any remarkable change to be done for testing the water with new mechanics or stuff. Maybe you change something and people don't like it, it's okay, change it back in a few days. It's a beta. For example, since day 1, I've seen complains about the over-draw thing. I havent' seen any change or comment on it on any patch. I don't know, situation is bad with the pandemic maybe is becouse of that. I just want to encoruage devs, to treat Artifact 2 as what it is a Beta, and not a finished product. [link] [comments] |
Will the Steam Market play any role in Artifact 2.0 when it releases? Posted: 12 Sep 2020 12:18 PM PDT TLDR: See bold text below I used to play a game called "Orbit" as a kid. It was a unique (at least for me) browser 'card' game on cartoonnetwork.com I think. One of the coolest things to me was seeing the very rare and MEGA expensive cards on the auction house. Usually consisted of gold variants of already existing cards or other iconic cartoon characters but nonetheless, they blew my mind as a kid and I've always dreamed of having a game replicate that feeling. When Artifact first came out, I loved the idea of them utilizing the steam market. That might be an unpopular opinion but I love the idea of investing in individual cards, especially because you can sell cards back for money (higher or lower) The only 'cool' things you could get in Artifact 1.0 were the top meta cards (Axe, Drow etc.) which was okay but I knew the "gold foil" variants were on their way supposedly. So with that being said, do we know if they are still going to have cards on the steam market? Are they implementing a completely different card system? I'm sorry if this was answered a long time ago, but I'd also love everyone's thoughts on whether the steam market was a good thing or bad thing. I don't think I'll ever be able to let go of my love for extremely expensive and cool cosmetic cards on an auction house. Maybe Valve will just have " cosmetic card variants" for each card but give the base versions to us for free 🤔 [link] [comments] |
