I played against a first timer today Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:59 AM PDT The guy straight up bought the game just because he tried it from his friends account. I salute you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Mar 2020 03:24 PM PDT So i know posts like this have been done many times before and it's kind of useless to give tips knowing the game may change completely in a few days or weeks, but since there are many people coming back to the game recently, waiting for the Long Haul Gods to grace us with Artifact 2.0, i want to share some thoughts as a decently experienced player (lv.55). I had most of my success in Constructed and i used to suck at Draft up until lv.45 much or less. So here are some things that made a better draft player and got me multiple perfect runs recently:
I used to get baited into using a color in draft as soon as i saw an "OP" card before, like Thunderhide Pack or something, focusing more on single cards than overall strategy. Now i am much more flexible in drafting, especially in the first 2 draft fazes.
Before i used to stack my decks with a lot of high mana cards (6+) thinking this was the best way to victory, only to find myself steamrolled within turn 3.
I didn't focus a lot on the weaknesses of my decks before and i always picked what i thought was best for my strategy. Now i am more aware that there some good cards to have vs certain strategies, like "Slay" vs control green decks.
I used to think picking OP heroes was always the priority in draft. Now i would say that except some a few really good heroes for draft, like Lich, Axe, Kanna or Drow, heroes should be always picked keeping in mind your strategy. You can make very good decks also with the free heroes as Debby or Farvan
This was maybe the hardest part for me personally. I had difficulty in understanding my win conditions because i didn't have the bigger picture on how a strategy develops. For example, i didn't understand how you could make a winning deck with red without Time of Triumph. I didn't understand how a super aggro deck worked, so i always tried to draft lategame "winning" cards like Thunderhides of Bolt of Damocles ecc. Just wanted to share some thoughts because i love this game very much and i am eagerly waiting for 2.0. Praise the Long Haul \m/ [link] [comments]

This quarantine is driving me nuts. Was planning on playing this game coz I love dota and its lore. But Im unemployed for 2 weeks now. Need the food and laundry money😑 Or will there be like a sale later on? I finished tomb raider twice now since it went free last week and now Im outta games. [link] [comments] |
