Artifact - A2: Why did perfectly good cards get changed? |
A2: Why did perfectly good cards get changed? Posted: 06 Feb 2021 04:14 PM PST Does anyone have a sensible explanation on why some perfectly good cards changed in A2? There are several examples I can give, but let's take "The Omexe Arena". In A1, it was 6 mana and you draw a card when a hero died. It was a fun card, a balanced card, a perfectly fine card. In A2, it is 3 mana and grants heroes Rapid Deployment. What was the rationale for this card changing? It makes no sense to me. If they want to introduce a card that grants heroes Rapid Deployment, fine but they can create a new card in the base set or add it in a later expansion. What did the OMEXE ARENA do to deserve a re-work? Does anyone know? You could say: "Balance Reasons!". Well, that's easy to say, but why would Omexe Arena unbalance A2? This seems an example of Valve "going over the top" with unnecessary redesigns. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Does anyone else agree? Or am I alone in this opinion? [link] [comments] | ||
