CONSTRUCTED MATCH - FOCUS ON TOWER PRESSURE Posted: 18 Feb 2021 04:52 PM PST A match I had with a constructed deck I made. It needs a few tweaks but is a decent start. Deck code below. Next week will upload a match-up I had where we both used rainbow decks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2uVImRh2GQ&t You can see the deck I used here: https://thinkartifact.com/DeckViewer?d=17 Deck code for anyone not wanting the link: RTFACTJZ4N4rkCBF7CBYgzHay7AotZhJ1YEgIBAgIKKwFKZQFSWngBYQaGh6UDCrABNwcBVG93ZXIgSW5mZXJubw__ Thank you as always for stopping by. Epic cosmetics in Artifact 2.0 Posted: 17 Feb 2021 11:23 PM PST Do you think that it will be possible for Valve to make epic animations for spells and abilities (purchasable cosmetics) in A2.0, despite the fact that the 3 boards are now squished into one single screen? For example:
I am worried that Valve's decision with the "3 lanes squished tightly together on one screen" will make it harder for the animators to produce epic-looking spells and effects. Is this a valid concern? Also, how many of the cards do you think Valve will have the time to make cosmetic upgrades to (via an animator, not a coder), purchasable as a mico-transaction? 50% of cards? If I equip Hooked Net to my Hero, I'd like to see a huge net fall down over my adjacent enemies. Or if I equip Root Boots to my hero, I'm hoping that there will be huge roots springing up from the ground and grabbing at my adjacent enemies. And so on and so forth... The cosmetics such as the two described above are also very good visual cues to the opponent. Currently it's not always easy to see what item an opponent is equipping without scrolling, whereas if a huge net appears for example, the opponent will immediately recognise it as the Hooked Net.
