Underlords Twitter follows Dota and CSGO but not Artifact. FeelsSadMan

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:00 AM PDT

The Underlords Team is doing everything right the Artifact Team did (or is still doing) horribly wrong

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:59 PM PDT

    Communication

Artifact: Needs months to admit they fucked up. Still no real communication.

Underlords: Devs are answering players questions on Discord and Reddit. Telling us what they are working on right away instead of keeping it "secret".

    Beta

Artifact: Intern beta with personalities for almost a year. Keys were given to content creators that forced people to follow them on 20 different sites to get a small chance for a key.

Underlords: Just a small family & friend beta for 2 or 3 weeks. Beta is open for everyone.

    Monetizing

Artifact: Buy2Play + Have to buy Cards + Game Modes behind paywalls.

Underlords: Free2Play with seasonal Battle Pass. All gamemodes are available for free.

    Launch content

Artifact: Basic, almost alpha-like gameplay features.

Underlords (!BETA!): Mobile Version, Ranked and progression in open beta.

    Feedback

Artifact: Too ignorant to listen to beta players feedback. No option to actually send them your feedback and suggestions. Only hope is/was to get a reddit top post.

Underlords: Has a contact form to collect feedback. Is already working on improvements based on the feedback they received and will release a patch shortly. You can even contact them on Discord.

Me this morning, a hopeful holdout

    Zeus based deck recommendation.

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 07:21 PM PDT

Ok here its my sad story: I´d see this amazing card based game and wanted to try it, i bought it, lots of people were like crazy at the begining and when i started my first match, a electric failure toasted my pc. I could´n play the game and the only thing i could do was watch twitch streamers play it, by the time i could fix my pc the game was dead. Well i refuse to stop playing, so if there are some player on this sub i would like to ask you for a good zeus based deck ideas.

I know this game will raise from the ashes.

P.D: ¿You see that zeus lighting tear? well mines are more like water.

    LONG HAUL BOYS REPORT IN

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:12 PM PDT

Is artifact worth buying ? Or are we expecting it to go free to play ?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:32 PM PDT

    Game has always interests me.

Even though there is a low player count it's just a card game so no regional matchmaking right ?

    is artifact coming back?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 05:26 AM PDT

so I make content for another game that appears to be, if some serious changes aren't made is on it's way out so I'm looking for something else..

I was interested in this but never managed to actually pick it up, I've been following along from the sidelines and I understand it's down for some serious revisions at the minute, but will it be back?

I heard that the cards are still on sale now even though you can't play?

    so,

    I guess in short, tl;dr

    will this game be returning,

is it worth buying in relatively cheaply so that if it does come back I can get into playing / making content fairly quickly and with less friction than having to race other people for cards?

If you want a fun card game with lanes check out Minion Masters

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 02:49 PM PDT

Underlords is fun and much better than Artifact but Minion Masters feels more like a card game. Its also better if you like fast games

Is there a chance that valve will add current Artifact owners into Friends And Family Beta testing group?

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:30 AM PDT

You know, after they figure out everything and release artifact 2.0, and everyone likes it and it becomes a hit, and then Valve wants to show gratitude towards the people who bought the game and supported Valve, etc.

    Speculation on the Artifact relaunch

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 06:31 AM PDT

Valve creates gameplay then decides which franchise of their best fits the game, according to GabeN's Artifact PowerPoint.

With the release of DotA Underlords, their AutoChess MABA game, they have now cemented their decision on using the DotA IP as their "strategy" franchise.

Another decision they also seem to have made is f2p. While they haven't announced that Underlords is f2p, I think they understand that since the original Auto Chess was free and all competing MABA games will probably be free, adding a price to it will highly reduce the amount of players.

So on that train of thought, Artifact will probably be rebranded as DotA Artifact(s), and become f2p. If free packs are kept then those cards will become unsellable, to stabilize economy (E.G. You can only sell cards from packs you buy/win from tournaments, not the ones you get from leveling up).

NOW FOR RNG. There is RNG in Auto Chess (E.G. Different number of item spawns). People don't seem to freak out about like they do in Artifact because the game modes are free. So all I think will happen here is a rebranding and limiting future cards having coin-flip like mechanics. Artifact offers every game mode for free, it just needs to be emphasized and maybe add an unsellable card pack as a reward for winning a free PvP game and regular sellable packs for winning paid PvP games.

TL;DR Artifact becomes DotA Artifact(s), becomes f2p, Future cards don't add anymore RNG, add unsellable card packs as rewards for free game modes to stabilize economy.

Artifact as a board game with cards?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2019 11:58 PM PDT

Wouldnt Artifact have been better as a board game using cards? When i say board game I mean it will play and look like a board game but played on a pc. It makes much more sence seeing all the lanes at the same time, like a turn based outzoomed dota game using cards for events, spells and other actions. What do you all think? Sry for my bad english :)

Stop comparing Artifact to Auto chess

    Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:32 AM PDT

It makes no sense to compare the two.
