    Getting your hero upkeep killed or otherwise, before combat phase, and often before you can play any cards, is simply too punishing. Even with future additions, this is an issue that will continue to devastate gameplay. Especially if a similar effect from this "Action Wheel" gets implemented with a possibility to play 2 actions in a row. A mechanic that would make Artifact a lot more interesting (costing in addition 1 mana (for reference, "Move" action would cost 2 mana)).

    In order to facilitate this in my opinion crucial to gameplay enjoyment mechanic, hero kills before combat phase must then surely be softened, considering how it's already problematic without this combo mechanic (initiative mechanic is similar, but doesn't have same devastating effect).

    A very nice, balanced and if done correctly, with appropriate animation and sound effect, elegant mitigation of being killed off and unable to do anything to play your colored cards this round, leaving opponent with a huge advantage, is having all heroes have "Last Stand" ability (hidden, learned intuitively, and in tutorial), allowing you for only your one next turn in that lane to play a card of same color as your almost dead (killed) hero.
