| So how many people actually enjoyed Artifact? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:14 PM PST This is a bit of a predictable question, but oddly enough hasn't ever been seriously polled. Artifact flopped and that much we know, but why the game died an infant appears to be a bit of a controversy (of minuscule proportions). I've been here pretty much the entire way and I've tasted the sentiment at every stage. At one point people were absolutely convinced the initial flop, ie with the arrows and random placement, was satan incarnate and the worst design in any game ever. During the very brief peak right after launch this was the #1 complaint on the Steam forums. Now quantifying what amount of people genuinely believed this to be the case and what degree were just parroting to vent frustration is hard to say. But the people were loud and united in anger. Now we've moved past more stages of grief I even knew existed since then and the consensus has become a little more ambiguous. When I took to the official discord there were some pretty strong advocates in favor of the initial flop. This combined with the fact that the people on the Steam forums (2.0 and 1.0 alike) and I think also on here tend to agree Artifact didn't need a complete mechanical overhaul makes it somewhat difficult to say what amount of people even agree on the whole concept of "Artifact 2.0". The question I'm curious about is simple: "Do you think Artifact needed a complete rework or do you think the original gameplay could model be salvaged?" [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:23 AM PST Kanna is for me the most interesting hero to play. At start of 2.0 he was more so a meme like meepo . Since then he's received health and creep rule boosts to where he is now tier 1. Not sure if OP is draft but definitely close when combined with specific combos and cards. I've found low level players don't use him that well but top 20 players can be nearly unbeatable with him. Curious on thoughts of best ways to play against him or best counter heroes?
