Pax East announcement. Long lines. People waiting all day without even playing. Notably difficult to cast. Extreme monkey madness for beta keys with many scammers. Monetization model revealed. Very controversial. Game released. Monetization, RNG, learning curve, no progression system and balance issues turn away players. Cards get balanced. Valve decides balance is more important than market value of cards. Valve says Artifact updates won't come in short bursts. Expect a large update in a few months. Artifact 2 announced. New design split among community. Last update before announcing inevitable open beta. Artifact 1 and 2 announced to cease development and makes both games free to play. —- What a shit show.
