Although Artifact is kind of dead just giving people the ability to build and modify the game to their own liking and release them the same way arcade games are on Dota could mean for some new fun games that might make its way out of this mess in the future. | Opening Foundry to the public killed this game Posted: 23 Mar 2021 06:33 AM PDT Honestly, thinking about this invite system, I think it was a bad idea to invite random people. Inviting only the pros/streamers in Classic was not really a bad idea in the first place. The problem was that apparently the devs at the time did not take their feedback on balancing and such, so we got the worst of both ends. Instead they invited a bunch of wannabe Hearthstone streamers who think that's the epitome of fun and challenge into a game that was no where near finished. Leading to thousands of feedback email which was not feasible to track for a game in early development. If anything they should've just done polls on certain things to see where the general idea people wanted to go. If instead they invited only the top players, they would've had more focused feedback which would've led to quicker development, earlier open beta, and earlier release. But alas, Valve, they remembered all the complaints about "monkeys dancing" back in Classic and they were scared to do that again. Some things they really needed to ignore the public and just stick to their guns. The whining was too much I guess. [link] [comments]  | ||
