So now that the Steam Link app for iOS is out... Posted: 16 May 2019 08:27 AM PDT I just tested it out and I played just a quick bot game of Artifact just to see how the game would even work on a phone, and well... I'm really impressed. I know it obviously is still the same game and it has the same problems, none of that has changed, but Artifact really does feel like it should be a phone game, and it's surprisingly more enjoyable on one, even if it is just streaming. It's pretty cool how much a platform change, even a simulated one, can affect my perception of a video game. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
Plans for ABL, the only Artifact ladder, and the $2k monthly main events... Posted: 16 May 2019 08:00 AM PDT So here's the deal...we want to keep ABL going after our sponsor mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago. The only reason myself and many others are still playing Artifact at all is thanks to the Artifact Ladder that ABL provides. So we're asking the ABL community (and others) to help with donations for ABL's Season 6 Prize Pool. If we reach our goal (or come relatively close), ABL lives, with a new season starting in June consisting of the hourly tournaments we all know and love. If we fall drastically short of our goal, ABL will not continue into season 6, but we'll go out with a bang with whatever donations we get serving as the prize pool for one final tournament. So make a donation of whatever you can and think of it as your entry fee for a tournament with a prize pool (100% of donations will fund a tournament, guaranteed)...PLUS we get to keep ABL alive and keep playing the game we love in a competitive environment. Let's pull together and make this happen: https://ablfund.com/ (FYI - If you're looking to make a larger donation, we can list you as a sponsor on our website/streams and give you some ad space. https://mmrtifact.com certainly isn't going to blow anyone away in terms of traffic, but the people who do frequent the site during an active season are hardcore players who are on the site hourly/daily.) Recommend me a game for 10 bucks or less. Posted: 16 May 2019 04:34 PM PDT I finally lost the last of my free tickets yesterday and has assembled a collection of about 10 bucks. I don't give a shit for constructed so I might as well sell it and use the mula for a game. Please recommend me one. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 May 2019 04:19 AM PDT It was a great game until Valve stupidly enough started listening to all the whining in this subreddit and changed everything, making it better short-term but destroyed the game in the long-term. Lesson learned: do not listen to the players. You, the game developers, are the experts and you should stick with your original vision. [link] [comments] |
