| The changes I foresee happening with the Artifact rework. Posted: 17 May 2019 01:05 PM PDT When Artifact first came out, I opened about $100 worth of packs. Then, within two weeks, I purchased every card on the market back when a full collection was going for $300. Oh boy, was that a mistake! On top of it all, at some point before buying my collection, I had $25 worth of dollars on my steam account so I bought 25 event tickets. With the extra commons I got from opening cards, I recycled them. Now I have 38 event tickets on my account! I always had the idea that the Artifact rework would business model would... 1) Be free to play. 2) All cards free. 3) Cosmetics would be the only thing you could spend money on, similar to dota 2. 4) All of our current cards would be upgraded to cosmetics variants which will have a higher value on the condition the rework of Artifact were to be successful and popular. 5) Our event tickets would be transferred to cosmetic packs. I think the Artifact rework in terms of game design will throw out almost all of the RNG 1) You'll get to choose which the exact spaces in the lanes where your starting round creep go to. 2) You'll get to choose to curve attack units on the condition that an enemy doesn't place units blocking the attacking curve unit. 3) All item cards will be available to all players at the end of every round. 4) Coin flip RNG like Bounty Hunter and Tidehunter 50/50 to stun non neighboring units will be rebalanced. All coin flip cards will be rebalanced. I liked Artifact even though I wasn't a fan of the RNG. I don't think most people were either. Bottom line, Artifact rework will have to woo not only new players but I think in some way Valve will have to make it up to the people who played the game from the beginning. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Is anyone playing Keeper Draft? Posted: 17 May 2019 03:32 AM PDT I'm interested in getting good at Artifact, and to grow my collection decided to go with Keeper Draft. However it seems that I'm stuck in matchmaking forever. Does this mean that no one is online for the game mode? I played a couple of games of the free draft earlier, and found an opponent pretty quickly. [link] [comments]  |
