| How should Artifact go free to play? Posted: 02 Jan 2020 02:43 PM PST I bought the game recently, I've spent about 10$ additionally on cards and boosters, but it is inevitable that when the Long Haul ends, Artifact will be going f2p. How do I know that Artifact is going f2p? Because looking at all other Valve multiplayer games that are still receiving support, they have all been made free at some point in their lifespan. Free games get more players period. TF2, DotA 2, CS:GO, and DotA Underlords would not have the playerbase they currently have if the games cost money to get into. So, when Valve "saves" Artifact, it will be f2p. So the question really is, how will Artifact maintain the TCG economy while also allowing players to play casually for free?
