I finally got in! Two hours later my computer died...the long haul continues

Yeah, title says it all. True story. I was so excited and surprised to see artifact 2.0 in my library. Quickly installed, played 4 campaign missions. Computer just died. I know the two are not connected, but the timing sucks. I was planning on upgrading in the fall when the AMD Zen 3 comes out, but now I've got to figure out how to bridge the 3 month gap.

Casual player's thoughts on the game

    Posted: 27 Jul 2020 03:24 PM PDT

I submitted it as general feedback but I thought I would share it here too. For reference I am a dota player and I haven't played any card game before artifact (apart from some physical card games and few hours of hearthstone). I have 70 hrs played on 1.0 and 20 hrs on 2.0 beta.

"I really like the game, I think it is a great stepup from 1.0. It is certainly more exciting to watch than 1.0 was which is great. But I can't play more than a few games in a row as it is quite draining. It is similar to playing dota games with the emotial rollercoaster as you experience ups and downs. The games are usually quite close and it often comes down to card draw or one missplay in the last round. And those close losses really hurt and even after win I need a break as I'm mentaly exhausted. But I'm a dota player who has never played much of any card game before so I'm not really good at it (sitting at 50% ish winrate) so I might feel differently than actual card games players would. I don't think there is anything that can be done about it except maybe some really casual mode (hero draft is cool, but it is more about the mechanics of the game that drains my stamina every time). Though I guess casual players is not really the audience you are aiming for so I guess it's fine. I'm still playing a couple of games a day and it is great, but I just can't do more. Anyway, keep up the good work, I'm really happy that Artifact isn't forgotten!"

Do you guys feel the same or is it just me not being used to card games?
