my thoughts after 2 days of Artifact 2.0

This game is so fucking amazing, good job valve! I'm anxious to watch all the art and flashy things, this game will be pure gold much better than 1.0

My thoughts after 0 hours of Artifact 2.0 beta experience.

I'm glad y'all are having fun, can't wait to get in, but do we really need every person hit by a wave to give their own summary. I'm sure we've all seen plenty of twitch footage and are all excited to join you. At this point the posts are all descending into "Look at me playing when you're not" brags.

Does anyone know where I can find Debbi The Cunning's voice lines in the files? I can find the set_01 voice lines, but Debbi is in set_00 and it's just not there

So in the files I can find sounds/responses/set_01 but there just isn't a set_00 folder

    My artifact 2 experience

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 02:53 PM PDT

I have played a lot of card games. I try to do well in each. I have gotten rank 12 legend in HS and legend regularly, I payed PTCGO competitively, I have gotten masters in LoR, I used to play competitive legacy Magic, I have played physical card games that I am sure many people wouldn't even know of like Guardians, and I enjoyed Artifact 1. I would like to think that my opinion holds some water when it comes to card games, so it pains me to say, after waiting for weeks and weeks to get into beta, I am not happy with what I finally got. Artifact 2, for lack of a better words is a total clusterfuck. Not just visually because of all the place holders but more importantly mechanically as well. Somehow I find Artifact 1 more simple than 2. There are so many play options at each initiative it is hard to even mentally decide what is actually placing you ahead and what is you just randomly pushing buttons and casting spells. The shop system, it's a hot mess. I honestly feel that the game needs to be simplified astronomically if it wishes to get off the ground.

    Potential as the MTGA killer?

    Posted: 01 Jul 2020 05:20 AM PDT

I haven't gotten a Beta invite, but been following super closely since before the 2.0 beta announcement. I'm a long time MTGA player, played the Arena beta and had a good time, but I gotta say, I'm not the only one looking to find a new place to rest my sleeves.
So for those who have played the 2.0 Beta, assuming the visual experience is up to snuff (It's Valve, I'm sure it will be.), what are your impressions in terms of how competitive it will be against MTGA?
