    Those bastards lied to me...

I'm starting to feel really sad this game failed.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 08:11 AM PST

You know, when Artifact came out and everyone hated it, it felt really good to give Valve the I-told-you-so for refusing to hold an open beta and ignoring a lot of the critiques coming from some pros in favor of autistically pursuing what they thought was the key to a successful game.

But leaving aside all the real criticisms of Valve's behavior and of Artifact itself, it being dead has left a real void. Having played it and experiencing the three boards system, it's a letdown to go back to stuff like Hearthstone where the enemy just pulls out his big dick legendary and ends the game.

Thinking back on how active this subreddit was just before release, how a million dollar tournament was planned, how people dropped hundreds of dollars just to play the beta... It's just amazing to think that it's now just a forgotten title sitting at a hundred daily players or so. Actually less than games like Portal 2...

Think of what could've been if Valve played this a little safer and dropped the insane level of hubris.

I know a lot of people have moved on to Underlords, but I seriously hope Artifact makes a comeback someday. It's remarkable that if you look at the numbers, there are MORE people playing today than there were a few months ago. This game had enough good ideas that it deserves a second chance.

Long Haul League November Main Events/Prizing

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 11:49 AM PST

Hi, just another post to catch anyone coming back to the scene that has missed out.

The Long Haul League is the third iteration of daily competitive lobbies in Artifact, following ABL and DCL. Believe it or not, we've actually been growing our dedicated community recently, feel free to come join in.

LHL Discord is where to find lobby links and where our community resides

    November Schedule

We have been experimenting with the formats, so this month's constructed main event (Saturday Nov 30th) will be open to anyone, while the draft event (Sunday Dec 1st) requires 20 games played (four lobbies) to qualify for - still easily achievable with a bit over a week of lobbies left. This months prize pool is around $350USD currently, and if you're interested in contributing there is more info available in #announcements on discord.

As always, you can find me streaming most days, and of course I will be playing/casting the entirety of the main events per usual.

    Have a lovely day

    What i/we want/expect from artifact 2.0

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 06:45 PM PST

I think they must do f2p game , all cards free or like hs/lor it doesnt matter , cosmetics , good battle pass , singleplayer campaing mode , puzzle mode (we know that) , definitely new expansion , good quest system and levelling system. If we get 2.0 on 1 year anniversary i think its not make us happy because they newly start working on artifact cuz underlords but if they do what i expect and want it will come out on 2020 fall so either way its looking bad for me

I've been looking at this game for a while and I would really like to play it, is there a generous soul with an extra copy in their inventory?
