    Should I start artifacts?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2019 05:43 AM PDT

Hey all, am a regular player of mtga, gwent and Hs, just googled Artifact. Heard it's a lot cheaper to get the collection now than just a few months ago, so is the game fun enough to justify the current cost of full collection?

Edit: thanks all, read your comments.

Now that the dust has settled... (doomposting and /dafg/)

    Posted: 29 Apr 2019 08:27 PM PDT

Now that the dust has settled, I just want to say that us over at /dafg/ really miss Artifact, and actually are sad about what this game ended up becoming. The general over there died some weeks ago, and it was something that I was very active on for months. Yeah we did are share of "doomposts," but many of us spent hundreds of dollars, and hundreds of hours on this game. I just want to use this post as a peace treaty of sorts. Yeah we were "the enemy," "Leaf, we're being raided," but the vast majority of us were still playing Artifact, and wanted to be proved wrong. In fact one of the biggest jokes was "BROS... WE GOT TOO COCKY" anytime Artifact seemed like it was going to do anything positive. (it never did). So, as the general is dead, this sub loses 200-500 members a week, today's player low was 80, and Valve for all purposes canceled Artifact, we at /vg/ wish you all the best. It was all in good fun.

inb4 this gets deleted and I get my 158th perm ban.

Lets say that a card game only had 1 set of cards with no plans of future sets.

    Posted: 29 Apr 2019 09:59 AM PDT

It might be possible to make a great game that only has one set of cards. If i where to give an example, the easiest and simplest one would be Poker. I believe even if Artifact may not experience new sets, this set is far from perfect. It needs to buff certain cards and Nerf others. The lack of attention from valve is really frustrating. What do you guys think?

The perfect analogy for the Artifact situation

    Posted: 29 Apr 2019 06:20 AM PDT

I've many friends that don't have got into Artifact, because of the entry cost and they frequently ask me how the game is going... So I've come up with an analogy to describe it to them.

Let's say that you have a girlfriend, called Artifact, that you love and enjoy most of your time with. Suddenly she has a car accident and she goes in a deep comba. After 6 month or so a doctor finally speaks to you and tells you that she is either not going to awake or if she does that she will lose all her memories, personality and they will be forced to give her a huge plastic surgery to make her presentable.

At this point a few of your friends come by and tell you to rejoice that she was not that cool anyway.

    Buff Viper

Honestly just give Viper +2 Armor, would be great draft hero and maybe also viable in constructed.

I hope valve will rerelease artifact soon

Artifact is the best card game by far.

Unfortunately it died because some bad decisions by valve.
