Will caving to the wishes of the critics help? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 11:30 PM PDT I am just wondering if Valve caved to all the critics demands would that really make any difference in resurrecting the game? I'm not so sure, because at this point it feels as if they are in a Nickleback level of irrational hatred towards valve and Artifact. There were some legitimate complaints about the game, but I think Valve was banking on using the early part of the game release kind of like a beta which I feel was truly their biggest mistake at launch. Then When everyone just left the game they had no where to go, and yeah they can make it free to play and adopt a similar pay structure as other card games, but I just don't see people who now feel that they were burned by valve giving it another shot, nor do I see the game with the negative branding it received attracting other CCG fans to the game. I hope I'm wrong, but after dealing with all the hate for a game I enjoy I'm feeling a bit pessimistic...I hope I'm wrong and valve can pull something out of their hat, but I don't see how they can please everyone in this situation.
