| I don't get how Valve hopes to fix the game by not updating it. Posted: 12 Apr 2019 08:13 PM PDT I mean the game had a rough start and Valve was clearly totally disconnected with his audience about what they expected from a "Dota Card Game". That's clear, but the game demonstrated to have his feet. Many people in this subreddit actually praised the gameplay dispite the game had basically no incentive to be played and an unpopular buissness model. Imho this was a clear sign that the core of the game works. Ok, it's not for everybody, but they knew about this! Richard said so in the interviews! Ofc you can do something that's more "broadly appealing" with Dota 2 and Dota Auto Chess shows it, but there is NO REASON to completelly overhaul Artifact as it is. Valve should just update the game! They should focus on releasing new content first and foremost, because people that actually love the game as it is... IS OFC BORED OF PLAYING WITH THE SAME CARDS! Jeez, I played EXCLUSIVELLY Artifact for the first 3 month in Draft mode. Now I'm not exausted, but given that I don't have a clue on when and IF the game would be updated... How am I supposed to even want to play? Look. I am a bit too much a competitive guy. I know that's my problem and maybe is not like that for everyone, but... Given that basically I am one of the few thousands that actually loves Artifact. I am a Magic and Dota player that hates the bullshit grind of f2p games and I don't have ANY problem with the current buissness model.... Well I will assume that most other lovers of this game are exactly like me and PISSED OFF by Valve statement. tl;dr: Why would you even spend one year on creating from scratches a game? At least update it for the ones that love it and improve the weak points so that it can get some traction instead. Let Artifact be Artifact and update it for the fuck sake! [link] [comments]  | ||
