Do not miss tomorrow´s episode of The Long Haul Podcast

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 04:53 AM PDT

So much (or so little?) has happened since this game came out. We have developed a love/hate relationship with the game, the designers and the developers.

The community had - and still has - a lot of questions regarding this game. How were decisions made regarding mechanics, revenue... and what does the future hold?

We figured - why not give it a shot and ask those involved directly?

Episode 10 will be out tomorrow

Valve should build and balance Artifact 2.0 around draft mode.

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 03:32 AM PDT

Draft in of itself is an incredibly fun game mode in card games, arguably the most fun game mode, and due to its inherent random nature prevents stale metas that come with constructed. Draft is fun in MTGA, Hearthstone, and was even Artifacts most popular game mode, and even PVE games like Slay the Spire show how fun and addicting draft inherently is.

When you look at the success of autochess which is a essentially a draft "card" game it shows the inherent value and popularity of the format.

So yeah in Artifact 2.0 if it ever happens Valve should consider focussing most of their assets on draft as their main game mode, and build and balance the game around it.
