Regardins Artifact 1.0 and the future of 2.0 Posted: 24 Apr 2020 06:55 PM PDT I wanted to share my feelings regardins Artifact 1.0 When devs ask for ideas , I feel it's pretty hard to distinguish what part of the failure of Artifact correspond to it's gameplay and what part correspond to the way Valve handled the game from the beta launch and the game itself. Artifact 1.0 always felt like an incomplete game. There was no profile, no replays, no way to watch matches on client, an horrible economic system, no ranked system, no general stats, no daily or weekly missions (i'm not saying they are good or that I like them, but like MMR it gives to the players a estimulus to keep playing, an objective to purse and I think we as a comunnity are more or less to them, and even if you dislike them, they dont "harm" you). The comunnity started to have many big concerns regardins key points of the future of Artifact since day one, but there was little to nothing communicating of the devs of how they would try to fix Artifact 1.0. The game was rapidly collapsing and it felt like there was no one trying to hold it not even devs. How could we pretend players stayed playing Artifact 1.0 when it felt like there was no one on Valve trying to improve it or fixing it? To the persons that liked Artifact 1.0 it should feel really bad, because they like the gameplay and there are other mayor things ( like no profile, mmr system or communicating of devs when things are falling apart ) that could contributed more to the fiasco of 1.0 Why i'm saying this things? Because even when I'm happy because Artifact will have a second chance, devs should not simple dissapear when the game is not going as planned. No one will play an online game that feel abandoned. Posted: 23 Apr 2020 11:28 PM PDT Forfeiting games has to stop. When you lose, you get two of your towers destroyed, or an ancient in the worst case. This is sad but sometimes inevitable. However, when you forfeit you get all THREE of your towers destroyed. That's a whopping 30% increase in destroyed buildings! These things take a lot of resources to build. And in the absolute worst case scenario, one of them could be... an ancient. So from now on, please, think about the environmental impact of your actions before forfeiting. And please think about the cultural and historical value of the ancients. If you're given the option, please don't intentionally increase your carbon footprint. I'm ESPECIALLY looking at you, green players. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Apr 2020 11:08 AM PDT Is there an external tool/software to know my W/L ratio and other stuff like that? I would like to know it and see how much i will improve/worsen when Artifact 2.0 launches. [link] [comments]
