    Excited for beta 2.0

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 05:59 PM PDT

I dropped artifact a while ago when everybody did, thinking I'm done with the game forever. Recently I started playing a lot of dota w my friends and just today I saw all the posts about artifact 2.0 and I suddenly realized how bad I want to play this game again. I was about to delete everything I typed here bc it's stupid, but devs just know that I'm pretty fucking excited about the game and what you got for us

Artifact, do not miss your chance on the marketing possibilities

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 05:18 PM PDT

When warhammer came out, dota marketed a an exclusive treasure in case they bought it. When fallout came out , they gave everyone announcers on dota2.

MAKE USE OF DOTA 2. Market it well.

Incentive. Some people need a single tiny push to play the game.

    Community creations idea

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 07:40 PM PDT

I was thinking that it would be amazing if in 2.0 if fans can submit ideas on the workshop that can make it into the game, similar to Dota 2. So, new boards, new sleeves, new menu GUIs, etc.
I'd even love to see some custom music or VFX make it into the game. No idea if that's already been an idea put on the table yet, but I know tons of people get drawn to games where they feel like they can really use their talents to make it a better version of itself.

Top Custom Artifact Cards from r/CustomArtifact

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:17 AM PDT

Dear Valve, Two things I would prefer: No pay for cards, & No "grind" for cards.

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 09:00 PM PDT

It should take a set amount of matches (say 25) or something like increasing your profile level to 10 for unlocking the full set of cards in an expansion. That way everyone gets to play constructed while keeping some of that "progression" they so desperately want.

I'll happily throw a bunch of money towards the inevitable battle pass and cosmetics!

What dota heroes would you like to see in Artifact, and how do you think their abilities should be implemented into the game?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:34 PM PDT

Personally, I think it would be funny if Techies was added into Artifact (he is already in some of the cards, such as remote detonation), so I had two ideas of how he could be implemented into the game. I had these ideas on the day that Valve shared the beta feedback email, so I sent these ideas to that email and actually got a response asking about what color Techies would be, and the consensus seemed to be that for my idea black would suit Techies the most. What heroes would you like to see be added to Artifact, and how would you like to implement their abilities into the game?

Here are my two Techies ideas:
    Techies #1
Active ability (cooldown would be 2 or 3 turns): Blast Off - Techies launches itself at a neighboring enemy and will deal 5 damage to the target and its adjacent allies, along with silencing them for the turn. Techies loses 50% of its total health doing this,

Card: Proximity Mines - (it is a card just like creeps) A red proximity mine that will explode after the combat phase, dealing 4 damage to all neighboring enemies, and if left unblocked, will deal 2 damage to the tower. The mine has 4 health and cannot be damaged by melee creeps, but will be destroyed in one hit by any hero. If destroyed during the combat phase, it will not explode. (In Dota 2, the red mines can kill off creep waves and deal damage to buildings, which is why it deals 4 damage here. Also heroes destroy red mines in one hit in dota, so it is also the same here.)

    Techies #2
Active Ability (can be used every turn or every other depending on how it's balanced): Remote Mines - Techies throws a remote mine onto any space, but the space it is used on is unknown to the opponent. The mines can stack, and each mine deals 2 (or 3?) damage. The mines can be blown up at any time using the other active ability (Focused Detonate), damaging the target space and the target's adjacent units.

Active Ability (Can be used once every turn) : Focused Detonate - Detonates remote mines on either a certain space or a space and its adjacent spaces as well.

(The card is the same as in #1)
Card: Proximity Mines - (it is a card just like creeps) A red proximity mine that will explode after the combat phase, dealing 4 damage to all neighboring enemies, and if left unblocked, will deal 2 damage to the tower.

Why do the towers have mana instead of the heroes?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:30 PM PDT

I always thought that was strange. Like it's the towers which are casting everything.

There are no neutral color cards, so you couldn't cast without a hero in the lane, anyway.
