Funniest thing I've seen in 2.0

I screwed myself out of 9 Meepos.

    Adjacent/Neighbouring: Please pick one.

    Adjacent/Neighbouring: Please pick one.

I thought at first they had changed to adjacent. But now looking at some of the new cards I can see they are using multiple codewords to describe the same rule. Or is there something I'm missing? For example between toss and whirling death they use the 2 codewords to describe (from what i can tell) the exact same thing. This goes for the adjective form of these codewords: Neighbouring and Adjacent. Same with enemy neighbours vs adjacent enemies.

    Whirling Death uses adjacent enemies

Added Static remnant - uses enemy neighbours

Edit: To everyone downvoting and saying it's just toss and there's a real difference between these two terms. I added storm spirits Remnant and removed toss. Can you explain the difference between this card and whirling death and why they would be worded differently? You can look up Toss if you want to see what I was initially referring to.

Valve, please give community access to the Artifact 2.0 API

    Posted: 28 May 2020 02:24 AM PDT

Most likely you already have Artifact 2.0 API up and running. In Steam offline mode without connection to Artifact servers game looks like this.

With API we can donwload images of cards in high quality and start building community-driven services [like this one!] in proper way right now, which is kinda good.

Yes, many stuff will change during beta but I don't think that access to API 2.0 will neither hurt Artifact nor community

    Artifact Gamepedia wiki is "fixed"

    Posted: 28 May 2020 09:16 AM PDT

For those of you who liked that version.

Card list had an issue, so I broke what was broken, and now it's "fixed". I guess I'll just keep updating it in my free time. Lemme know if there's anything you'd like to see added.

    Please Animation of Greevils ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

On the personal. I would like you to implement an animation such as: He play with Lux or Nox then come back on card or interact with the spectator. ( maybe just a wink. )

    Thanks.

Thoughs about how the courier works (From watching streams, no beta yet )

    Posted: 28 May 2020 01:35 PM PDT

The courier is kinda of a Band Aid solution they said, and it really feels like it.

Right now is even hard to know at glance what exactly it does, since is an improvement that you can put in a lane but it works for all the lanes. And that's it until the game finishes or it gets destroyed by the enemy.

I think it would be more cool if it worked as their own thing, like you could deploy the courier each turn to give it a bit more strategy about it. Like even deploy the improvement on the deploying hero phase, but later it returns to your hand again, or put an active that you need to spend mana so it returns to your hand and you can redeploy it later.

Also only giving the bonus of returning 1 mana on the first item on the lane that is deployed, or eliminate the cost of mana for items in the lane that the courier improvement is.

If the courier is destroyed by the enemy, maybe put a cooldown on it and give gold like heroes do to return to your "hand".

That way it would be more interesting and kinda mimic how in dota works.

What are your ideas about a more flavoured courier mechanics. Are my ideas shit?

Also this is all from watching streams I havent' had a beta yet, sadly.

Do win conditions in 2.0 still just end the game?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 08:01 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

one of the things I most disliked about 1.0 was the power of win conditions.

In card games I like to play grindy games where you try to get the maximum value out of each card and slowly but steadily build an advantage by taking favourable trades.
With 1.0 it always felt like the win conditions forced the game to come to an abrupt end which never felt good to me.
On the losing side it feels shit because often you played this really nice and tight game, then your opponent just ToTs 3 heroes and suddenly it feels like everything up to that point didn't really matter.
Even when you're winning it often feels very anticlimactic: You're in the middle of this exciting game when you topdeck a bolt and suddenly it's like "guess I win". There is no time to enjoy it, the game just ends.

I understand why they did this. Turns in artifact take longer than in most games and they didn't want each game to be a potential 50 minute commitment.
To me at least it felt like they overdid it though, other people have said the same thing here on reddit. People like getting value, drawing extra cards, activating their planeswalkers etc. Artifact 1.0 often felt like you couldn't do a lot of sweet stuff because of the power of win conditions was so high.

Is that still the case in 2.0?
