How does Artifact 2.0 appeal to players outside of this subreddit? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:56 PM PDT I have a concern that Artifact 2.0 is purely an experiment by the devs to see if they can salvage anything out of the original Artifact. The concern with this approach is, what is supposed to bring players outside of this subreddit, who want this game to succeed, into playing the game? At the moment, I can't help but feel that the game is an experiment for the devs with no real end game in sight. From couriers, to lanes resolving in different orders, to Initiative basically losing all importance and the combat system almost unchanged. It all feels like band aid fixes. Is the hope that enough band aids will make this a fun game? What is it that Artifact 2 brings the table that will stop someone playing Hearthstone, Runeterra, MTG, etc? I understand it's still a beta but the game feels lost and directionless and no amount of cards added, or numbers tweaked is going to make it compete with HS, Runeterra, MTG that have a clear idea of what they are. Posted: 29 Jun 2020 08:50 PM PDT Apology if this has been discussed before, but what is the reasoning behind having 3 boards instead of 2? I don't think the strategy would overall change much with the way the game is played now (given some number tweakings of course, fewer heroes etc). Plus having 2 boards would make things easier to see since there are fewer things to track and your screen is less zoomed out. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
