Just a reminder for the beta testers. You are a beta tester.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 02:39 PM PDT

Don't just play the game. Give feedback, what do you enjoy, what do you not like and why? Also try to find bugs and exploits, explore the boundaries of the game, so they can fix them before release.

Being a beta tester is not just a privilege but also a responsibility. This is your chance to actively help the game to reach it's full potential. Do your part, so the developers can do theirs.

I know that we're past 1.0 now but it is absolutely pathetic how little xp you get when you lose a match

Decided to scientifically rank all 2.0 heroes based on how likely they are to be a Juggalo while I wait for a key.

I fucked up and burned out from the game under a week.

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:33 PM PDT

After about 70 hours of draft, constructed, deck building and theorycrafting that begun 5 days ago, I have very little urge to play the game anymore. I felt like I seen everything. I handcrafted a couple of storm/combo decks and had some fun but it felt I peaked there.

Game is good but I feel like a large number of heroes are just irrelevant (some are ignored in draft completely, while others in constructed). Mana economy and card economy feels constraining. Either you snowball with economy and get to blow mana on items/actives with cards stuck in your hand that will never have any uses, or you try to stall while blowing through your hand and feel going out of steam.

I enjoyed the game. but it's not enough to keep me coming back. I will continue to play with updates. But personally it's hard to appreciate anything unless they have the same amount of 'combo potential' as cards like doppler or morphling welp (welp is underwhelming right now, doppler is super bugged with bouncing rooted units but still strong).

I think the mana conundrum has finally been resolved - smart 3 in 1 Side Mana solution

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 03:25 AM PDT

In addition to Main mana there is Side mana, that starts at 0, increases by 1 every round, can hold max 3 mana, and functions as well as a storage for unspent main mana after a round. All displayed elegantly in a square arrangement. Alleviating mana constraints - Play much more freely, don't worry about mana as much, do less math overall. Side mana can be used for anything, the total mana is Main + Side mana.

You still can't play single cards that cost more than Main mana's max (denominator). Main mana is spent first.

Having it function as a storage additionally, solves for early rounds bad draw rng and lack of mulligan mechanic. Adds as well a nice dimension to the game, and is still balanced.

    Round 1 start

Round 2 start (after spending 3 mana in Round 1)

Forget imbalanced and/or more complicated and messy "tower mana", "hybrid mana", "hero mana". This solution is not only both simple and balanced, but as well neatly mitigates bad starting hand rng.

Courier should still most likely stay in the game (it fits, but can be improved to fit better, also cosmetic possibilities).

This isn't visually finalized version of course, and can be made to look much prettier and more intuitive.

With this implemented, 1.5 card draw should still be the best way to go about it. 10 hand size limit can be kept BUT only for main cards, not items (items still together with main cards on the left) - reintroduce A1.0's scrollable hand innovation (which fits with A2.0 even better now - about 30% more room for the hand (more compact mana UI as well), and cards can overlap more than they did in A1.0 (would still be less overlap than currently)).

Not going open beta is so stupid

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:07 AM PDT

As title, we already have servers planned for artifact 1.0 and delaying open beta is only burning hype making interested people playing something else. Don't make artifact 1.0 error, let us try and partecipate to beta or the game will die as Runeterra, even if it's better than competitors.
