    Removed In Game Chat

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 02:13 AM PDT

In case you missed it the in game chat box has been removed. Is there anyone who thinks the game is better this way? Why not just add a mute button or the option to disable it? Being able to talk to people while you play is awesome and makes the game way more interesting and engaging as well as opening up the way to making friends while playing. Removing the chat seems to be an appeal to a very small percentage of players who would rather have no one be able to talk than risk seeing something offense. The solution to this small group shouldn't involve making the experience less interesting for the entire rest of the player base. Hopefully the chat box gets added back in as it was one of the features I was most excited about.

Just yesterday I sold all 483 of my Artifact cards on steam and thought ook let's leave this game until Artifact 2.0 comes out. This morning I wake up, check my email and I guess I'm not leaving anything :DDD

Is it possible to share access to the beta with Steam family sharing?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:03 AM PDT

Edit: Just saw down the bottom of the screen that there's a button that shows you which games can't be shared, and the Artifact 2.0 Beta is one of them.

I don't have much time to play over the coming week, and figured some unfortunate 0/6 longhauler could play in the mean time. Does anyone know if family sharing works with limited access beta games like Artifact 2.0?

In game chat is not gone, the chatbox is.

In game chat has been moved to the tower chatwheel (like 1.0) and you can type custom messages. Please stop moaning about nothing.

Making meepo unique and somewhat good.

So I'm not gonna go ham here and create a huge blog post. Here's is what I'll say and y'all can decide

Allow it so meepo can be placed outside of the normal board placement areas. Effectively widening whatever lane he is in.

Artifact 2.0 Extra Account with Key Suggestions

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:48 AM PDT

Hi everyone, I was fortunate enough to have attended TI8 with my girlfriend back when Valve gave away Artifact keys for TI ticket holders. I linked both my main profile and created an extra account to link the second ticket, so I wouldn't waste a key.

I registered both accounts for the 2.0 beta because I figured it would increase my chances to get a copy of the game. Luckily enough, I was blessed by Lord Gaben and now both of my accounts have keys.

I just really need one key, so the second account is virtually untouched. I would like someone else to enjoy the use of the second key. Is there any suggestions what I should do with this account? Of course, people would offer to buy it, but I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff. What is the best way to go about this?

Some (more) criticism of Artifact 2.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:40 AM PDT

Please note that I have only played hero draft

    • The impact of each individual action is too high In particular in the mid-end game. You have a LOT of choices to make but very limited resources to act (cards/abilities/mana). The net effect is a low paced game that is exhausting to play (Opinion; Not fun for me).

    • There is too much emphasis on heroes They dominate the battle field every single game as huge recurring bodies.

    • I don't like 5 slot sized lanes In practice it is largely 4 slots, since creeps respawn in the left most slot and smash into each other. I understand it is more or less required to allow for just enough predictability with positioning your hero; but considering exactly where to position your heroes is the most tedious and exhaustive element in Artifact 2. Also knowing that you will never be able to swarm a lane quite frankly sucks. With the limited lane size the ability to fully recover a lane is far too easy.

Given how much is simulated and how l can only prioritize key actions it feels like I am in constant recovery mode over making plays. It is not an enjoyable feeling.
