reminder To the artifact devs, reddit is a minority

We are the minority, what we say isn't final, don't judge the game upon what we say, check ur statistics and the data you have on the game. I love the game and most of my friends do, the game WILL succeed. Stay strong keep it up!

Me hiding from beta waves like a pro

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 04:35 PM PDT

I am not in beta yet, but reading translated patchnotes gives me cancer.

See, this is exact same issue which was with original Artifact and community translators.

As of today, Artifact 2 beta doesn't have russian language, but for some reason patchnotes being posted in russian. I guess, someone tried to help russian community. However, for some reason cards being translated this way:

    «Свитки скачка» (Blink Scroll)

    Russian (English)

While it may be look fine for Blink Scroll, it isn't intuitive and neither useful. I mean, there is no russian name for this card in the game as of today, because there is no russian translation at the game at all. Only thing which is helping is the fact that this card already was in Artifact 1.

Imagine looking on card from Artifact 2 beta. It would literally look like:

Some random russian words (Actual name of the card)

    Like

    «Многомагией» (Multicast)

There is no such word in russian. It is literally made up word and translated as "Many magic" while Multicast is ACTUAL ADOPTED WORD in russian language. Even google translate knows it. But situation is becoming worse as you reading this patchnotes. One they used full form of the name of the card they never using it again and just writing it in russian.

Imagine reading essay about Many Magic while literally having no clue what it is. This is how inconsistent it feels. Sadly, i was expecting situation to change once devs asked about issues with 1st version of the game and told in news that they gonna look into it.

EDIT: My suggestion, to change the cards names to

English (Russian or any other language)

International names for cards should be higher value/priority than local names.

    Is Artifact still worth buying?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 03:46 AM PDT

I haven't played before. I don't get much income. It seems like Artifact 2 is around the corner? So should I hold out for it? I know very little about the game besides it's a dota esque card game.

A little more information would be handy and also knowing whether or not it's worth picking it up.

Also is Artifact 2.0 an update or a new game entirely?

    Cheers in advance
