Daily Card Discussion - Escape Route Posted: 12 Mar 2019 01:36 PM PDT Color: Black Type: Improvement Mana: 1 Rarity: Rare Illustrator: Bayard Wu Summary: [A, CD=1]: Return an allied hero to the fountain. Lore: Losel. We both know who wants you dead... and we both know the wealth they command. However, seeing as I'm sitting here talking and not hiding your family's bodies it should be obvious that the Jasper Circle has not been extended a contract yet. And while there is good money in murder, there's also a lot of effort in it and I'm a busy man. So, if you were to say, hire the Jasper Circle to smuggle you out of town safely, I would be forced to tell the gentleman whom I'm meeting tonight that my services are already under retainer. Regardless of what you choose, our paths will cross again this evening... but the circumstances of that visit are entirely up to you. — Lorlin Lasan, Leader of the Jasper Circle

Posted: 12 Mar 2019 11:04 AM PDT Ok ppl im not an artifact player but i am an avid gwent player and let me tell you that we had our own horrendous period back last october/ November. Homecoming was savaged on release and with artifact being released to an initial massive player base things looked grim indeed. Streamers like swim were abandoning the game like crazy twitch was down to 300/400 viewers. After constant patches and updates gwent is now in the best place its ever been. A growing player base increased twitch views and a relaunched competitive scene (starts this weekend). What I'm trying to say is keep the faith in artifact. I know valve is no CDPR but im convinced they will rescue their game i really am. [link] [comments]
The Gauntlet system was such a huge misstep for constructed and makes me want to play less Posted: 12 Mar 2019 05:39 AM PDT Ok, so most people have already stopped playing. Ded gayme ahaha xD.... But seriously, locking in a constructed deck for up to six games sucks. I queue as Mono-Blue and get matched up against mana drain Mono-Black which I lose. Then I can't switch to a different deck? I can't play this game the way I want to, the systems in place are too restrictive. There has to be time to alter the gauntlet systems before this long haul update hits. Gauntlets for draft are fine but it just doesn't make sense for constructed. [link] [comments]
Who are the heroes? A series of mono green decks. Posted: 12 Mar 2019 09:45 PM PDT Recently I posted my deck, creeps are the heroes and single handedly changed how artifact is played, saving the game. If you didn't catch the deck before, the whole point is to elevate a melee creep to hero status. Here it is: Next up, I thought to myself, what about the other green creeps? They get stronger over time on their own, so naturally we have sidekicks are the heroes. Keep a duelist, wolf or hellbear alive, give it divine purpose and elevate a sidekick to hero status. Wait, but what if heroes want to participate? Definitely the worst of these very bad decks, its heroes are the heroes. Take some super awful heroes and buff them, buff them, and buff them some more. I know what you're going to say next. You don't like the heroes in green. I don't either. Heres a deck about DINOSAURS. there are no heroes. Unrelated to the above, one of my challenges to have a deck with 3 rebel instigators was featured on The Long Haul podcast with /u/kerrimon. Their deck was: I managed to win on stream with it last night after playing all of the above decks. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/394681276?t=02h18m06s I won with every deck last night, except for "heroes are the heroes" which I have won with on a previous stream. Posted: 12 Mar 2019 07:51 AM PDT I just recently got into Artifact, and I was wondering how player experience works. I got my first 1000xp for 3 weekly wins, but other then that it looks to me that I just got one experience point per turn played, regardless of whether I'd lost or won the game. How can I gain more experience? Is it dependant on the game mode? I've just been playing the basic global matchmaking, but maybe draft gives out more? I think playing with tickets will give out more xp, but I'd rather spend them once I'm more confident in my abilities. Could it be because most games ended with a surrender? Do you get less xp if you surrender? What if your opponent surrenders? I tried looking this stuff up on the wiki, but couldn't find anything. Maybe I'm just shit at looking [link] [comments]
