I just kinda oppened it. It felt playing yet i had fun. It felt so weird having with all that that is happening(or lack there of ) on the game right now. I really dont what to say and it just feels weird.

On a lighter note i had less queue time than dota or lol so fuck MOBAs. This is the shit.

    What are interesting/fun mechanics?

    Posted: 28 Mar 2019 09:25 PM PDT

I love Artifact and I want it to succeed. I keep thinking what Artifact did wrong. One obvious aspect from many is the mechanics make the fun not fun to play. I also play Hesrthstone and it is pretty fun for 5 minutes a day to me. I try to understand what makes HS fun while what makes Artifact not. I would like to hear what you think would be a fun mechanics or what is a unfun.

I will share some of my thoughts:

    Simple:

Not fun mechanics: Combat auto-happened, no control. It is like a 2D street fighter game, where each player queues all of the keys both of them do not want to press more keys. And then the combat happened within 1 seconds.

Fun mechanics: you can control how it fight and who it fights against. Changing arrows is fine but units cannot move and choose attack target by themselves is so weird if you want them combat.

    More complex:

Not fun mechanics: for every single card you played, you opponent has a turn to counter it. Sometimes, my fear of being countered prevents me from being wild and bold, which is not fun.

As a counterpart, fun mechanics: card with immediate effects without worrying about being interrupted. Selemene is such a card which give you mana back immediately when played. Even it is slain, you don't feel too bad about it.

Well I didn't expect it to take this long...

It became obvious pretty quickly that there was a problem with the game, but I assumed they would just keep chugging along with new updates. But I guess at some point they realised there was no point; may as well save heaps of stuff for a bigger update. Have a proper relaunch of the game.

Maybe new pay model, new cards, new features, etc. Shame it's taking this long though :/

Congratulations to the Winner of the Second Wednesday Weekly

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 08:29 PM PDT

    It was me.
    I won.
I just wanted to brag about it.
Also I saw someone complaining about every deck having Time of Triumph, Payday, or Kanna. Well, my deck, that I used for the Swiss Stage, had NONE of those cards. It was a Mono-Black with triple lodestone demolition, so suck it.
And since this is the only constructed tournament being played, and I am the defending champion. I would like to take this opportunity to allow you to ask me anything as the reigning champion and number #1 player of Artifact.
PS: Valve, I expect my invite to the $1 million dollar tournament soon™

What's the highest level anyone currently is in Artifact right now?

    Posted: 28 Mar 2019 07:31 AM PDT

If nobody is at 250 yet, I'll definitely wanna be the first one. Probably impossible though.
