    The right decisions

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 07:13 AM PST

I find Artifact more demanding than Hearthstone and have the feeling that the game is just better, but playing Artifact has made me realize that Blizzard took some right decisions when designing HS:

    1) It is possible to build a decent collection just by playing but you can also pay to improve your collection. This is important for many players who like having the collector feeling but will not invest a lot of money in the game.

    2) The game often offers rewards, which pushes the players to play everyday. Daily quests, tavern brawl, 3 wins -> 10 gold, special events...

    3) It easy to get arena tickets just by playing and not really expensive if you prefer to pay. You ALWAYS get a reward for playing arena.

    4) You are pushed to make friends in game: 'watch a friend win a match' quest or the 80 gold quest.

    5) The game is nice to watch on streaming. More streamers -> more players.

Any news about the $30k Tournament ?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 11:24 AM PST

Any interest in $20/$50/$100 8 man sit and goes?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 09:56 PM PST

Given that large esport tournaments are unlikely in the near future, would anyone want to participate in a $20, $50, or $100 entry fee for an 8 man draft sit and go?

    If it's $20 entry fee, that's $160 prize pool. $100 for first, $60 for second. or $80/$40/$20/$20

    lemme know.

I really hope they update this week but also believe the real update will be end of Feb or begin of Mar

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 10:36 AM PST

I think that Mars should have been finished in Dota2 but due to the failed Artifact launch, they pulled many resources to work on Artifact. Also, they are some connection between Mars in dota2 and Rix in Artifact. So I believe if we don't get an update now, we will get a big one when Mars is out.

    Artifact Anonymous - Session Two

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 04:54 PM PST

Artifact Anonymous this week will take place on Saturday February 23 at 4:00 PM EST / 10:00 PM CET. Here is a TimeZone converter. Unsure of what I'm talking about? Check the post about session one here.

Last week's discussion actually turned out better than I expected, with a decent showing, some great conversation, and of course memes. That was a busy day for me so I started it a bit late and was not able to stream session one. This week, and every week moving forward, will be streamed live.

I wanted to do it a bit earlier this week to accommodate EU brethren, so I hope that those who were not able to join us last time will be able to join us this week.

I've developed a full agenda, that will encompass more topics in regard to Artifact, and more engaging activities for those who love the game, hate the game, are addicted, or maybe have just lost all hope. If you have an opinion about Artifact, this will be your time to shine.

Bring your best scripts, memes, thoughts, and dreams. We'll see you this Saturday in the official /r/Artifact discord server in the Artifact Anonymous voice channel.

    Summary:

    • Artifact Anonymous - Session Two

    • February 23 at 4PM EST/10 PM CET

    • Official /r/Artifact discord server

    • Come prepared with discussion and memes

The " Dota Chess " game must be free for who bought Artifact.

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 06:28 PM PST

So everyone thinking valve is working for Dota Chess game ( Atleast I'm) as standalone , right after Artifact fail ( 600 active player btw ) they should give a free copy at launch only for who bought Artifact as a apology gift so they can redeem themselves right? Guess that chess game prob. Gonna be $20 just like Artifact.

    Sorry for my bed england.
