    Self Sabotage

    Color: Blue

    Type: Spell

    Mana: 4

    Rarity: Uncommon

    Illustrator: JiHun Lee

Summary: Modify two random cards in opponent's hand with "⭮ Deal 6 damage to a random allied tower in any lane."

Lore: I wouldn't go so far as to say that there are some places that even the Jasper Circle can't reach, just that sometimes courting betrayal is significantly easier. — Lorlin Lasan, Problem Solver

    • What decks/cards (spells/improvements/heroes/creeps) synergize well with Self Sabotage?

    • What format (constructed vs. draft) does Self Sabotage do well in?

    • What kind of experiences have you had with Self Sabotage?

    • What changes would you make (if any) to Self Sabotage?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 09:00 AM PST

Ready the questions! Feel free to ask anything (no matter how seemingly moronic).

When the first hit strikes wtih desolator, the hit stirkes as if the - armor debuff had already been placed?

There's no desolator in this game yet.

How many positive lurkers we got in here?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 02:55 PM PST

I have the Artifact twitter notifications set for when the real news drops so I just browse on here to only upvote positive things like card concepts and cool stories that happen in people's games. I don't waste my time clicking on all the posts bringing the game down. The game will get better when content is released so just be patience and get in a couple games a week or try some different games. It's not gonna kill you to take a break from playing and complaining about the game.

    My first perfect run <3

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 09:50 PM PST

People keep saying there are people who said Artifact is the best thing ever before launch and abandoned ship afterwards. Who were they?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 12:23 PM PST

I'm just a regular player who's unfamiliar with most of the people in the scene though I follow this subreddit. Can anyone please tell who they are? Just curious.

Today I got my perfect run playing two last games with exactly same player

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 01:53 PM PST

I sent friend request because we had 1:1

Yeah, there is not so many people playing this game. Still, Artifact is intensive as hell.

Because whenever I'm trying to play artifact on background while watching something and laying on my couch, I always end up playing Artifact right in from of my PC and not even listening to the serial.

I don't know how it happens. Just one, two, three turns and I need to get closer, I need to look across all three boards, need to calculate their numbers, need to predict arrows and creep placement. Artifact really gives me feeling of playing Dota. And it what Dota Card game should do.

    Time of triumph nerf

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 09:31 PM PST

What do you think makes it a more balanced card? I say keep it same but make it 10 mana or remove the siege and keep it at 8.

Why almost everyone is playing Ramp in prize constructed?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 07:30 PM PST

There was a time when prize constructed was filled with mono blue players and now Only a few players left in the game and almost everyone is running ramp in it.

Sometimes it is just too damn hard to counter when RNG is not on my side. Even when i know they are gonna ramp , i can only press the pass button and let them do what they wanted and since there is no option for me to deal with it unless I draw annihilation + routed on time and it is kind of frustrating.

Sometimes they are just too easy to beat if they can't ramp before turn 8.

Ramping TOT first is not that hard to deal with but Getting quorum on board two or 3 turn early is extremely hard for me to deal with.

Btw, if you are ramp player, tell me why you enjoy playing ramp deck and your frustrations that you had suffer when things didn't work out in your favor?

    I am just curious.

Whats the average amount of gold per draft match

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 01:02 PM PST

Was building a deck and wondering, on average how much gold can one expect to get during a "normal" no blowout game.

Any stats guys out there or website devs able to provide some info?

Cause this info would definitely help guide which items one would choose to add to a deck, as well as potentiality the total amount of items (maybe u want to go over 9 even)

In any case it would be a good discussion to have. Im assuming this hasnt been discussed, I surely have not seen any info on this.

    Alternate Timeline Heroes

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 12:08 PM PST

Since Artifact is basically comprised of timelines for events and battles taking place in the Dota 2 universe, it's highly likely that future expansions will bring in revisions of Dota 2 heroes with different abilities, signature cards, lore, etc based on anomalies in the flow of time. The possibilities are endless.

That said, there were a couple of ideas rattling around in my head for what these alternate heroes could be.

    Axe the Traitor

Instead of rising up the ranks of the Red Mist Army by brutally slaughtering comrades, Axe decides to defect entirely. Now heading towards Revtel, Axe hopes to find better enemies to grind his axe upon. While wandering around Axe happens to come across a messenger from the Veiled Oracle, instructing Axe to assassinate the Red Mist General. Now Axe must choose between betraying Axe's former allies or angering the Sisters of the Veil.

While this Axe may not be as strong stats-wise as the current iteration of Axe, Traitor Axe comes with its a synergistic ability and signature card that rivals Phantom Assassin's. I'm not all that great at balancing, so would appreciate some ideas on how to dictate the mana cost for a conditional condemn effect like this one.

    Rylai the Icewrack Queen

She was once simply the Warden of Icewrack, your friendly neighborhood Ice Witch responsible for tracking down missing bluehorns and annoying the locals. But finding this mysterious shawl changed her. Apart from giving her powers beyond imagination, it rendered her personality bitter cold and her ambitions started to take on a more sinister nature. How much farther can the winds of Icewrack howl with a powerful Sorceress Queen commanding them?

Instead of a spell as her signature card, she can now call forth her wolf pup Aurora to aid her in battle. Since her new Hero skillset is focused towards ramp and debuffs, she finds a cozy place for herself in the House of the Dreamer. Her passive ability might be a smidgen too powerful though given her stats as well.

Which heroes from the Call to Arms would you like to see revisions for in the future?

Do you like the game, but are waiting for and update?

Do you play a few times a week and are getting sad about people leaving?

Do you want this game to succeed?

Then come to the Fan Call to Arms this Thursday 28/02/2019 at 10:00PM UTC for an hour or more of pure Call to Arms action. Make a spike on Artifact Steam Charts and make a statement that you are still here for the long haul.

Warning: Not a real event, but if you like the idea upvote it, maybe we can some get fun.

    Any Artifact Modders out there?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 01:58 PM PST

Just interested if anyone is modding at all, and if they are if they want to try out some changes and experiments.

Think it would be interesting to put in a few tweaks to see if the game becomes more intuitive with just a few changes.

Petition to have a custom board/mode/card maker.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2019 03:21 AM PST

So people can make awesome stuff on their own. People can occupie themself this way. And maybe someone makes an equivalent version of Dota 2 Auto Chess, so more people might actually playing artifact, but for other reasons.

It also can help with playtesting. I think the Dota WTF custom mode (or how it is called) inspired some Dota 2 talents.

Also let us talk about some creative custom ideas you have. Im seeing a lot of custom cards, what ideas do you have for custom boards and modes and more player than 2 even? Of course you have to tweak some cards to balance things out.

Also it would make it easier to make and play puzzles . There are already some good ones already out.
