Fortnightly report on win rates to go infinite - March Posted: 28 Feb 2019 08:08 PM PST This is an informative post about win rates needed in either prize constructed or prize phantom draft in order to make a profit from playing. This data varies from country to country so if your country is not represented on the table i will update it if you provide me with a few pieces of information. If your country is not on the table. Tell me your currency, pack price, ticket price and lowest common price in the steam market and i will update the table with win rates needed in your country. If your country is already on the table and the lowest common price is off, please let me know. Common prices don't often change so i will use the same until someone gives me up-to-date information.
This data is reached by using the sell rares pack EV by vadash and converting it using steam market exchange rates and feeding it into a spreadsheet that shows me the probability of each outcome in various winrates. (file -> make a copy if you want to use) Going infinite assumes you open the packs, sell the rares and convert all cards at minimum price to tickets by recycling. This patch may or may not include the F2P update, card balances, and leaderboards. This may or may not save Artifact from it's slump. This was corroborated with a Magic Eight Ball landing on "Maybe". Posted: 28 Feb 2019 09:58 AM PST Hi, I was about to post the deck with which I just won an ABL 40 man tournament, but then realized that this kind of posts get downvoted to hell, since people don't care very much. Is there any place where we can post our draft decks and comment on others without losing our precious karma points and being scorned? maybe make a sticky? or an entire subreddit (too much, probably)? I mean, I understand why posts that just want to show off good decks don't make much sense and that's why they get downvoted, but I wish there was a place to do it anyways and maybe get some of other players' thoughts on your picks. Mechanic that valve should consider Posted: 28 Feb 2019 07:39 PM PST I was thinking about old rogue likes and due to arifacts DnD inspiration i got an idea, just a note however this is an idea for a reboot not a change to current artifact many old rogue likes were turn based, but they actually kept track of time under the hood, you could change your movement speed for instance and you would still move 1 tile per turn but that turn would take longer and the enemies in the room would have more time to act and you would get hungrier quicker. this could work very well in artifact to allow dota charecters with slows to transition into the game better. the mechanic is quite simple, evey action takes time, when all charecters are in the middle of an action time is advanced till one has completed that action, the unit then selects a new action, for the player this pauses the game. then i think we need to more changes, the game nerds denies to make killing your own units not feel horrible even though it's often advantagious, and the ability to controll attacks, i think you should only be able to controll hero attacks and other units could use a simple AI that works similarly to the current attack system. when you put all this together you get a game thay gives you more agency and is closer to it's source material. their are many other tweaks i want in the game, like scrapping signatures and adding more abilities to heros, but i feel having the idea of time in this game is far better as it allows for cooler effects and better card flavor their are a few obvious issues with this sytem, most importantly, when do you get to make actions and how often do you transition to new boards, but nothing a good game designer couldn't fix, i actually have solutions but i dom't want a mile long post TLDR: add a time component to the game [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Posted: 28 Feb 2019 01:19 AM PST Well I didn't report this earlier today because tbh I was too pissed off, it's like an almost unbelievable or incomprehensible situation that should never happen in real life. I'll try too explain... So I have 6 creeps in the middle lane. I need 16 damage for lethal on their Ancient (they have no heroes or blockers in this lane). It's 8/8 mana... I have Prowler Vanguard + Arm the Rebellion. If I play Prowler Vanguard + Arm the Rebellion I have 14 extra damage from creeps. I also had a Blade of Vigil to Equip.... IN OTHER WORDS... I literally had THE DREAM perfect lethal in the middle lane. I think it was exactly 16 damage I could provide... Unfortunately the game does not have replays so I can't confirm... there is a slight possibility that I needed 18 damage... but from what I remember I was at 36 damage and I needed 52. But when I tried to play the card it seemed like there was some kind of bug that occurs when you are under 5 seconds remaining... IT DOES NOT SHOW THE BLUE DEPLOYMENT BOXES that should appear when you try to place a creep. IN OTHER WORDS I DRAGGED THE FARVHAN'S PROWLER VANGUARD ONTO THE MIDDLE LANE WITH 5 SECONDS REMAINING AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO PLACE THE CREEP. I have acheived Global Elite in Counter Strike Go, Master Rank In Starcraft 2... I think I should be included in the demographic of player who can mechanically handle this game... BUT IT APPEARED THERE IS A BUG THAT OCCURS WITH 5 seconds remaining. If I was a smarter player I wouldn't have spent 30 seconds in the first lane trying to caclulate my lethal... But I'm pretty sure I'm not THAT stupid to not figure it out in 30 seconds... I am pretty sure I had lethal... and then the game just didn't let me place my creep. It actually somehow brought up the inspection mode of the card instead of giving me an option with the blue box to place it on the board. Here is the game tester report, I forget the term for it when I was a Microsoft Games Tester, but there was some term for reproducing the bug and giving the developers a step by step instruction of how to reproduce the bug: 1) Run timer down to out of time in first lane without making a play. 2) Proceed to next lane with 5 seconds remaining and 8 units on the board. (2 heroes 6 creeps). 3) Attempt to place additional unit on the board... Note that no blue border box appears with less than 5 seconds remaining... 4) Lose game because you can't play it in time? TLDR: THIS NEW TIMER IS COMPLETE B*&LSH!T it causes situations where you just lose matches because the game is not programmed correctly when you are low on time.
