I posted a similar one about one month ago, and I think we are at this point again.

I don't have concrete data to show but I remember these numbers in my mind. There are 500-900 online in this subreddit when it is after midnight and during weekday work hour, but there are 2k around during off-work hour (like now), and 2k to 4K when it is Thursday or Friday afternoon. Meanwhile we have around 1k actual in-game players. This pattern is obvious enough showing that people are waiting for patches/updates/news/plans.

    Did you hear it, Valve?

    Echo Slam!

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 04:35 PM PST

To the gentleman whom I played last night in Phantom Draft, thank you for not conceding on Turn 1 after you saw that I had a hard counter to your 2 x Venomancers (which was due to my Earthshaker's sig card and my Mazzie's sig card which gave me some keenfolk love against your Plague Wards). You were a good sport by playing out the game to the very end. I think we both knew from the beginning that it would not go well for the Venos.

You made it to Mana Level 12, which I thought was a great fight that you put up despite being hard-countered.

Which brings me to Echo Slam. Valve's team did a really fine job at making the animation very dramatic. There's something about the animation and the audio that makes it feel "shocking" when you cast this spell. When on the receiving end of an Echo Slam, everything happens so quickly and so loudly that you do feel shaken when your board gets wrecked in front of your eyes. Kudos to Valve for that, let's give credit where it's due for a job well done.

There is nothing like this feeling in MTG Arena, which is bland in comparison. For example, I cast Cleansing Nova. It then goes on the stack for a while, and then when it resolves the result is all so bland.

Does anyone else have a similar opinion regarding Artifact vs MTG Arena audio-visual effects?

Can you PLEASE Consistently Give the 5 Second Warning, Holy

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 04:35 PM PST

I'm so tired of getting blindsided by the "TWO" warning.

You can leave Blitz as it is, if anything you can completely turn off the 5 second warning in that mode, it's useless.

    How to improve my deck?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:58 PM PST

Here is the link to the deck I made. I like the idea of having many creeps and buffing them using black cards to take towers quickly. But I realize I also need to be able to kill heroes, so I added a few cards for that, like PA. Despite everything, I don't win a lot with this deck.

What would you guys suggest to change in this deck?

Mine was at the final boss of a standard draft. Nothing out of the ordinary until he started acting strange... He spent 60 seconds of nothing, with a couple "Hmms" and "Huzzahs" with me at 1 hp. Only to Oglodi Vandal. Seemed totally uncalled for. He's just wasting his own time at that point.

I still play a few games each week because draft is still very fun for me. Can't actually believe I won with this mediocre draft.

Anybody want to talk about rare cards limitations?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 07:22 AM PST

Before the game released, it was said that rarity of cards would not define how strong they are, however, I don't think that is the case.

Most decks turn around rare cards (ToT, Emissary, Incarnation, Annihilation) and with no limitations things often get a bit out of control. People can run for example a red/blue with 3-4 lane cleaners (annihilation/at any cost) and then huge lane enforcers like ToT and Spring the Trap.

I would like to see many of the rare cards heavily nerfed or outright limited, specially when ramping is involved.

What are we(the community) even asking for?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:21 AM PST

At this point I just don't really know how can Valve revive the playerbase, obviously the most popular request is making the game F2P but a lot of players bought this and still quit and if they didn't the playerbase would be big enough. I don't even know myself what I want in this game anymore, I was hyped about it because I wanted a mobile game to play away from home that isn't HS because I dislike card games and their monetization
